Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on August 25, 2026 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 44782

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to Summit Fire Protection, in the estimated annual amount of $208,590.00 for Fire Prevention Services, to be utilized by the Facilities Management Division, to be effective for a period of one (1) year and is extendable for five (5) one-year periods at the City’s sole discretion; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account; and to provide an effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 44783

AN ORDINANCE approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Douglas Senior Housing, LP, a Nebraska limited partnership, and between the City of Omaha and Douglas Market, LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company, to implement the 2211 Douglas Street Senior Housing Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 2211 Douglas Street, which proposes the construction of a new apartment building of four and five stories containing 45 affordable housing units and 25 market rate apartment units; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $1,133,705.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project, and providing for an effective date.

AN ORDINANCE to approve Park and Recreation Lease No. DACW45-1-26-6019 between the City of Omaha and Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers, and to provide for the effective date hereof.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold a public hearing on September 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of this hearing is to consider approval of:

 

Class “I” Liquor License for Stephanie Moss Salon, Inc., dba “Stephanie Moss Salon”, located at 16811 Burke Street, Suite

 

Class “I” Liquor License for Y&J Maru Sushi Korean Grill”, located at 5036 South 108th Street.

 

Class “D” Liquor License for 5825 N 30, LLC, dba “Express Mart”, located at 5825 North 30th Street.

 

Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.

OF RETAIL LIQUOR LICENSE

 

Notice is hereby given that The Capitol District Landowners Association, C/O Colliers, 11516 Miracle Hills Drive, Suite 400, has filed application of a RENEWAL permit to continue to provide for the consumption of beer, wine and liquor on the premises in common areas by retail, craft brewery, and micro distillery licensees that obtain a Common Area Permit for the area known as The Capitol District, legally described as follows:

 

THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF 10TH AND CAPITOL AVENUE, ADJACENT TO THE CHI HEALTH CENTER COVERING 5.4 ACRES, CITY OF OMAHA, DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEBRASKA

 

That in accordance with provisions of Chapter 15 of the Omaha Municipal Code, as amended, hearing upon said application will be held in the Legislative Chamber, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 2:00 o’clock P.M., at which time the City Council shall receive evidence either orally or by affidavit from any person bearing upon the propriety of the issuance of said license.
