NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The Omaha Streetcar Authority will have a Meeting at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, May 13, 2024, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street in Omaha, Nebraska, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Authority shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at https://www.cityofomaha.org/omaha-streetcar.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on May 14, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance amending the existing plan of assessment for Special Levy Ordinance No. 10358, originally approved by the City Council on April 16, 2024, to reduce the total assessment amount by $1,615.34, to cover the cost of constructing sidewalks in the District No. SWR 2023 -01.
An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and 1904FARNAMOWNER,LLC, to implement the 1904 Farnam Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 1904 Farnam Street, which proposes the comprehensive rehabilitation of a historic 7-story building into 54 affordable apartment units and about 5,965 square feet of retail/commercial space; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $418,298.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.
An ordinance to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Professional Firefighters Association of Omaha, Local No. 385; AFL-CIO-CLC for the payroll years for 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027; to provide that any ordinances of the City of Omaha, and any rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, which are in conflict with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement shall not be applicable to those employees in the bargaining unit described in Article 1, Section 1, of said Collective Bargaining Agreement.
An ordinance to establish, pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Class “A” Flammable Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. A-167 at 8901 Sorensen Parkway, as requested by Forest Green Lawn Care.
An ordinance to approve a First Amendment to Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Omaha and the University of Nebraska, by and on behalf of its administrative unit, the University of Nebraska Medical Center; to commit the City of Omaha to reimburse not more than $20 million in tax-exempt bonds for the costs of installation of public infrastructure improvements, up to $1.5 Million for the acquisition of right of way, and up to $45 million to support the design and construction of medical facilities, as limited to a proportionate share of the State of Nebraska’s allocation of funds, all associated with the proposed University of Nebraska Medical Center campus expansion project located in an area along Saddle Creek Road; to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute and attest the agreement; to designate the funding source.
