NOTICE INVITING BIDS
Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Bidding documents may also be found on the new Douglas County Ionwave electronic bidding website: douglascountypurchasing.ionwave.net
Electronic bid submission: The City of Omaha strongly encourages all bidders to submit their bids electronically. Each respondent is responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure their submission is received and complete by the listed closing date and time. The City is not responsible for technical difficulties and will not allow late submissions due to the same.
Paper bid submission (temporary): Douglas County/City of Omaha Purchasing will continue to accept paper bid submittals until Wednesday, June 28, 2023. After this date, paper bid submittals will not be accepted and will be considered non-compliant with specifications resulting in bid rejection. Sealed bids for the renovation/construction of the City of Omaha SEPTIC SYSTEM INSTALLATION, 20919 ELKHORN DRIVE, Omaha, NE are invited and will be received on or before the bid closing date, 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, as per the project’s specifications, at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.

Plans and Specifications may be examined and obtained at the offices of the following printers: Standard Digital Imaging, 4426 South 108th Street, Omaha, NE 68137 (800-642-8062) on or after Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Bidders may view the contract documents (plans & specifications, etc.) on the project free of charge from their websites. Electronic or hard copy prints of all contract documents may be obtained from any one of them by contacting them directly and placing an order. All costs for contract document production will be directly billed by the printer to the requesting company and not to the issuer of this bidding opportunity. Potential bidders may receive special pricing for the printing of hard copies of the contract documents. Contact the printer for the cost associated with your request.

This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 0% of the total bid amount. For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.
This project does not require the bidder to submit an Economic Equity and Inclusion Program (EEIP) Plan or an approved EEIP Certificate with their bid.
As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid. The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the “City of Omaha”. Failure to do so will be cause for rejection. Notice is hereby given that the OMAHA CITY CLERK will receive sealed bids until WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19, 2023 AT 11:00 A.M. FOR DOUGLAS CO. PROJECT NO. C-28(634) 2023 CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIR AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.
Bids are to be submitted on the proposal forms and in accordance with plans and specifications available at www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $22.00 by inputting QuestCDN Project #8435600 on the website’s Project search page. Alternatively, paper copies of the plans and specifications are available at the office of the Douglas County Engineer, 15505 West Maple Road, Omaha, Nebraska. The cost of the paper plans and specifications is $30.00 plus $2.10 tax, and is non-refundable. Checks for the paper plans and specifications should be made payable to the Douglas County Engineer.
As evidence of good faith in submitting a proposal for this work, the bidder must file with his proposal, cash, certified check or bid bond, made payable to Douglas County in the sum of 5% of his bid, all of which shall be placed in a sealed envelope so marked as to indicate its contents without being opened. This envelope is to be placed in another envelope, which shall be sealed and addressed to the County Clerk.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Surety Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract.
The Board of Douglas County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
