NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED:
RE: Application No. C-5303/PI-240 In the Matter of the Nebraska Public Service Commission, on its own motion, to determine whether adequate service quality is being provided by carriers operating within the State of Nebraska.
Interested persons are hereby notified that the public hearing on the above-captioned application is set for Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. CDT at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing, Room 120, Metropolitan Community College, South Campus, 2909 Edward Babe Gomez Ave., Omaha, Nebraska. A live stream of this hearing will be available to the public at http://psc.nebraska.gov/stream. Attendees to the webcast will be muted and will not be able to present testimony.
The Commission encourages those unable to attend the hearing to submit written testimony. The Commission will accept written testimony in this matter until November 2, 2022. Testimony should be submitted via email to psc.telecom@nebraska.gov. A testimony form is available on the Commission website at https://psc.nebraska.gov/telecommunications/c-5303-public-hearing.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation will receive sealed bids in Room 104 of the Central Office Building at 1500 Hwy. 2 in Lincoln, until 1:30 PM on September 29, 2022. At that time the bids will be opened and read.
Bids will be opened and the bid totals will be read via Webex. The Webex information will be available on the BidX Letting webpage a minimum of 2 days prior to the opening, and can be found by selecting the applicable letting from: https://www.bidx.com/ne/lettings

Pursuant to NDEE Title 118 - Ground Water Quality Standards and Use Classification, public notification and opportunity for comment is hereby given of the following:
1. On or about February 6, 1991, a petroleum release was identified originating from a storage tank system located at 5215 N 16th Street, Omaha. An approximate legal location is NW1/4, NW1/4, NE1/4, Section 3, Township 15N, Range 13E, Douglas County.
2. Follow-up investigation identified the effects of the release and led to the remedial actions proposed by NDEE. The investigation resulted in a determination that this ground water contamination event is defined as remedial action class three.
3. The source of the release has been removed. A Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) Tier 1 assessment was conducted. The assessment indicated the presence of dissolved petroleum compounds in ground water. The contaminant concentrations found were below the numerical levels used by the RBCA process to establish a need for further investigation or remediation. Based on the current site conditions and property use, the NDEE has determined that no further remedial action is necessary due to the lack of threat to human health or safety.

1. On or about May 14, 1993, a petroleum release was identified originating from a storage tank system owned by Circle K Stores. The source of the release is located at 3507 S 84th Street, Omaha. An approximate legal location is SW1/4, SW1/4, NW1/4, Section 35, Township 15N, Range 12E, Douglas County.
2. Follow-up investigation identified the effects of the release and led to the remedial actions proposed by NDEE. The investigation resulted in a determination that this ground water contamination event is defined as remedial action class three.
3. The source of the release has been removed. A Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) Tier 1 assessment was conducted for one or more of the following exposure pathways of concern: surface soils, ground water ingestion, soil leaching to ground water, and intrusion of vapors to a structure from contaminated ground water and contaminated soils. The contaminant concentrations found were below the numerical levels used by the RBCA process to establish a need for further investigation or remediation. Based on the current site conditions and property use, the NDEE has determined that no further remedial action is necessary due to the lack of threat to human health or safety.
