NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Omaha will meet on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 8:30 A.M. in the 1st Floor Conference Room at 1823 Harney Street, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. The meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for such meeting, kept continually current, is available for public inspection at the office of said Board of Commissioners, 1823 Harney Street, Omaha, Nebraska, during normal business hours. Please note social distancing and masks will be required. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you.

To the owners of lots, parts and pieces of real estate described herein or abutting or adjacent to the streets, alleys or avenues herein situated in whole or in part within any of the districts herein specified and all being within the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.
You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Omaha will sit as a Board of Equalization in the Legislative Chambers in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at least one day from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., commencing SEPTEMBER 15, 2020, for the purpose of considering and equalizing the proposed levy of special taxes and assessments prepared by the City Engineer for Sewer District 1579 of Douglas County, Nebraska, and now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and correcting any errors therein and hearing all complaints that the owners of property so to be assessed and taxed may have to be made; said special taxes and assessments proposed to be levied being necessary to cover the cost of the several improvements duly authorized to be made pursuant to Chapter 26 of the Omaha Municipal Code and now completed as follows:

The respective amounts proposed to be assessed have been determined with reference to benefits conferred by the improvement and all such amounts estimated to be uniform and not in excess of the benefits conferred by the improvements.
You are further notified that said proposed plan of assessment is now subject to the inspection and examination of any of the owners of said lots or pieces of real estate or any other person interested in said proposed assessments at the Office of the City Clerk, and that it is proposed that unless for good and sufficient cause when it may be otherwise ordered and determined, the cost of said improvements respectively, shall be assessed on the several lots and pieces of real estate, as shown herein, and by said proposed plans and specifications pursuant to Chapter 26 of the Omaha Municipal Code.
WRITTEN PROTEST MUST BE FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK SEVEN DAYS BEFORE THE BOARD MEETING.
You are hereby notified to appear before the Board of Equalization at the time and place above specified to make complaints, statements or objection you may desire concerning any of the proposed levies and assessments of said special taxes.
