Sealed bids for the renovation/construction of the KAYAK LAUNCH, 168TH & FORT STREET are invited and will be received on or before the bid opening date, as per the project’s specifications.
Sealed bids to be addressed to Elizabeth Butler, City Clerk, LC-1, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, marked BID ON: “City of Omaha KAYAK LAUNCH”, must be in her office on or before 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Plans and Specifications may be examined and obtained at the offices of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68127 (402-592-4950) on or after Wednesday, AUGUST 25, 2021. Bidders may view the contract documents (plans, specifications, addendums, etc.) on the project free of charge from the A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. website at www.adtechsupply.com. Hard copy prints of all contract documents may be obtained from A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. by contacting them directly and placing an order. All costs for contract document production will be directly billed by A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. to the requesting company and not to the issuer of this bidding opportunity. There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Flanagan Lake boat ramp near N. 168th & Fort Street. Meeting will be held rain or shine.
General Contractor shall self-perform with its own workforce a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the total cost of the Contract. Purchasing of materials does not qualify as self-performing the Work.
This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 10% of the total bid amount. For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.
This project does not require the bidder to submit an Economic Equity and Inclusion Plan (EEIP) or an approved EEIP Certificate with their bid. Failure to submit either will result in the disqualification of their bid. For additional information see Specification Section 00 20 00, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.19, “Economic Equity and Inclusion Plan”.
As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid. The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the “City of Omaha”. Failure to do so will be cause for rejection. City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, and the bidders shall have the right to appeal any decision to the City Council.

Notice is hereby given that the OMAHA CITY CLERK will receive sealed bids until WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 AT 11:00 A.M. FOR DOUGLAS CO. PROJECT NO. C-28(540) 288TH STREET BRIDGE, NORTH OF BENNINGTON ROAD AND C-28(541) BENNINGTON ROAD BRIDGE, EAST OF 288TH STREET (BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS).
Bids are to be submitted on the proposal forms and in accordance with plans and specifications available at www.questcdn.com. As evidence of good faith in submitting a proposal for this work, the bidder must file with his proposal, cash, certified check or bid bond, made payable to Douglas County in the sum of 5% of his bid, all of which shall be placed in a sealed envelope so marked as to indicate its contents without being opened. This envelope is to be placed in another envelope, which shall be sealed and addressed to the County Clerk.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Surety Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract.
The Board of Douglas County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
