NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Roskens Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on August 31, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing the Carter Lake Emergency Force Main Replacement Public Improvements, project identified as OPW 53651; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisition, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and O’Keefe Lofts, a Delaware limited liability company, to implement the O’Keefe Lofts Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 1402 Jones Street, which proposes for the rehabilitation and expansion of an office building with historic character in the Central Business District of Omaha for use as first floor retail space with 19 for sale residential condominium units on the upper floors; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $1,700,000.00, plus accrued interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.
An ordinance to accept the payment to Turfwerks in the total amount of $99,128.00 for the lease two (2) Jacobson HR700 wide area mowers, in the amount of $24,782.00 per year for four (4) years for a total amount of $99,128.00 for the Golf Division.
An ordinance to authorize the acceptance of a grant award for the Omaha Police Department in the amount of $408,750.00 from the City of Omaha Police Foundation, Inc., to fund the procurement of a Cellebrite Premium software and subscription for the Omaha Police Department’s Digital Forensics Squad, and one Youth Co-Responder position within the Behavioral Health and Wellness Unit (BHWU).
