NOTICE OF THE SITTING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL AS A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
To the owners of lots, parts of lots, and pieces of real estate described herein and situated in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, upon which structures and buildings have been condemned and demolished in accordance with Chapters 43 and 48 of the Omaha Municipal Code.
You and each of you are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Omaha will sit as a Board of Equalization in the Legislative Chamber in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at least one day from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, commencing SEPTEMBER 14, 2021 for the purpose of considering and equalizing the proposed levy of special taxes and assessments prepared by the City of Omaha, and now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and correcting any errors therein, and hearing all complaints that the owners of property so to be assessed and taxed may have to be made; said special taxes and assessments proposed to be levied being necessary to cover the charges for demolishing condemned structures and buildings pursuant to Chapter 43 of the Omaha Municipal Code.

You are further notified that said proposed plan of assessment is now subject to the inspection and examination of any of the owners of said lots or pieces of real estate, or any other person interested in said proposed assessments at the Office of the City Clerk, and that it is proposed that unless for good and sufficient cause when it may be otherwise ordered and determined, the cost of said charges for demolishing said condemned structures and buildings, respectively, shall be assessed on the several lots and pieces of real estate, as shown herein, and by said proposed plan.
WRITTEN PROTEST MUST BE FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK SEVEN DAYS BEFORE THE BOARD MEETING.
You and each of you are hereby notified to appear before the Board of Equalization at the time and place above specified to make complaints, statements or objections you may desire concerning any of said proposed levies and assessments of said special taxes.
