PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on January 14, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing 33rd and Hamilton Street Intersection Improvements; project identified as Federal Aid Project Number HSIP-28 (139), State Control No. 22848, City Project OPW 54100; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and                 temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.

An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the North Saddle Creek Business District Streetscape, identified as OPW 54540; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements; providing that as to each specified parcel which cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.

An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the Signal Infrastructure Phase F1 Project, identified as OPW 54475; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements; providing that as to each specified parcel which cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.

An ordinance to approve a Major Amendment to a Mixed Use District Development Agreement for Maple Valley, for the property located at 16510 Bedford Avenue, to allow Kennel as a Permitted Use at 16510 Bedford Avenue, Maple Valley Lot 6.

An ordinance to approve a Major Amendment to a Mixed Use District Development Agreement for West Dodge Station, for the property located at 18325 Cuming Street, to allow Surface Parking at 18325 Cuming Street, West Dodge Station Lot 2, Replat 9, within the Subject Area of the Mixed Use district.

An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the Department of Justice, United States Marshals Service Joint Law Enforcement Operations Task Force in the amount of $87,043.00, during the project period of October 24, 2024 to September 30, 2025; to be utilized by the Omaha Police Department to support overtime operations; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.

An ordinance to approve a Contract between the City of Omaha, a Municipal Corporation, and Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, a public body corporate of the State of Nebraska for Medical Director Services for the Emergency Medical Care Services Program of the Omaha Fire Department involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Sections 5.16 and 5.17 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended; to provide payment to the Board of Regents in the total amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) per year for a three-year term commencing on January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027; funds for this Contract will be paid from the Omaha Fire Department Fund 11111, Organization 114582, Professional Fees.

NOTICE TO PUBLIC

The Omaha Streetcar Authority will have a Meeting at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, January 13, 2025, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street in Omaha, Nebraska, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Authority shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at https://www.cityofomaha.org/omaha-streetcar.
