NOTICE TO PUBLIC

The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Jesse Lowe Conference Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

BY ELECTION AND FILING DEADLINES

CITY OF OMAHA PRIMARY ELECTION

TUESDAY, APRIL 1, 2025

I, Brian W. Kruse, Douglas County Election Commissioner, hereby give notice of the offices to be filled by election that will appear on the 2025 Primary Election ballot in the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. Notice is also given that the filing deadline for Mayor, incumbents and non-incumbents, is February 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. and the filing deadlines for City Council are February 18, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. for incumbents and March 3, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. for non-incumbents. An incumbent is anyone serving in an elected office, even if they are filing for an office other than the one in which they are presently serving. All filings must be submitted to the office of the Douglas County Election Commissioner.
