NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF GOVERNING BODY

 

RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

NO. 8 IN DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEBRASKA

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of State Statute Sections 13-501 to 13-513, that the governing body will meet on the 17th day of September, 2024, at 7:00 o’clock P.M. at Irvington Fire Station 9111, Fremont Street, Omaha, Nebraska, for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to the following proposed budget. The budget detail is available at the office of the Clerk at the Irvington Volunteer Fire Station located at 9111 Fremont Street, Omaha, Nebraska.

 

2022-2023 Actual Disbursements & Transfers                                         $ 773,350.10

2023-2024 Actual/Estimated Disbursements & Transfers                          $ 891,075.62

2024-2025 Proposed Budget of Disbursements & Transfers                      $ 1,425,000.00

2024-2025 Necessary Cash Reserve                                                       $ 564,802.36

2024-2025 Total Resources Available                                                     $ 1,989,802.36

PUBLIC NOTICE is also hereby given that the governing body will hold its annual meeting at the same time and place as the budget hearing set forth above, which meeting will be open to the public, for the purposes of adopting, for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the budget, the final tax levy and the amount of tax to be certified by the governing body, the additional increase of 1.00% above the base limitation of 2.5% plus the allowable growth of 2.02%, for a total allowable percent increase of 5.52%. An agenda for the meeting kept continuously current is available for public inspection at the Irvington Fire Stations.
