NOTICE OF SPECIAL HEARING TO SET FINAL TAX REQUEST

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of State Statute Section 77-1601.02, that the governing body will meet on the 24th day of September, 2024, at 2:00 o’clock P.M., at Omaha/Douglas Civic Center LC for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to setting the final tax request at a different amount than the prior year tax request.

However, under the Open Meetings Act, agenda items should give reasonable notice of the matters to be considered by the Douglas County Criminal Justice System Management Council so that the public will know which matters are under consideration. As a result, members of the Management Council will not engage in discussions, conversations, debates, or take action on any item presented during Citizen Comments. During Citizen Comments, the Chair will keep order and a citizen may be called “out of order” for disruptive conduct or behavior.
