Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on June 4, 2019 and passed and approved the ordinances entitled:
 
ORDINANCE NO. 41836
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 2308 South 6th Street from R4(35)-Single-Family Residential District (High Density) to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High Density). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section 1. The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 2 and 3, Block 3, Shimmers Addition, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska are hereby rezoned from R4(35)-Single-Family Residential District (High Density) to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High Density). Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect fifteen (15) days from the date of its passage.

ORDINANCE NO. 41837
AN ORDINANCE approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and ML Construction & Design, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, to implement the Midtown Hotel at 71st & Hascall Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 3301 South 72nd Street, which proposes new construction of a four-story structure for a hotel with 135 guest rooms and amenities, and construction of a small commercial building on the west end of the property; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $3,038,797.00, plus accrued interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project, and provides for an effective date. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA; Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, the attached Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and ML Construction & Design, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, to authorize the use of up to $3,038,797.00, plus accrued interest, to offset TIF eligible costs such as acquisition, demolition, site work, architectural and engineering fees, and public improvements as required, for a project with total estimated costs of $18,200,000.00; including any other documents in connection with the Redevelopment Agreement necessary or appropriate to consummate the loan. Section 2. Said Redevelopment Agreement contains obligations undertaken pursuant to the Nebraska Community Development Law and Sections 18-2147 through 18-2150; and, are not otherwise obligations of the City of Omaha. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect fifteen (15) days from and after the date of its passage.

AIR QUALITY CONTROL
Notice is given to the public according to Chapter 41 of the Omaha Municipal Code of the application of Omaha VA Medical Center to obtain a minor air emission construction permit for their hospital facility at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha.  The potential emissions from this project in tons will be: TSP 0.04 PM10 0.04, PM2.5 0.04, SOx 0.00, NOx 6.27, VOC 0.03, and CO 0.27.
No significant impact on air quality is expected from the operation of this facility. Douglas County is in attainment with air quality standards for the listed pollutants. Approval is recommended with the condition that any pollution control equipment that may be necessary for compliance with the City of Omaha or Nebraska Air Pollution Control Rules and Regulations will be installed within 180 days after notification by the City of noncompliance.
All information submitted by the applicant and the proposed approval by Air Quality Control are available for inspection by the public at the office of Omaha Air Quality Control from June 12, 2019 to July 12, 2019. Comments received during that period will be considered. During that period the applicant, or any interested person or group of persons, may request or petition the Control Officer for a public hearing, and state the nature of the issues to be raised and all arguments and factual grounds supporting their position.  The Control Officer may hold a public hearing if the comments, requests, or petitions raise legal, policy or discretionary questions and significant public interest exists with respect to the application.  Comments should be mailed to:

The potential emissions, in tons, for this project will be: PM 1.5, PM10 1.4, PM2.5 1.4, SOx 0.7, NOx 80.0, VOC 3.1, CO 15.6 and CO2 Equivalent 3,638.

“NOTICE TO PUBLIC”
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Public Library will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. at the Saddlebrook Branch Library, located at 14850 Laurel Avenue.  Proposed agenda kept continually current is available in the Administrative Office at the W.
