DOUGLAS COUNTY PLANNING

COMMISSION MEETING

You are hereby notified that public hearings will be held before the Douglas County Planning Commission on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 6 p.m.  Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and in compliance with the Nebraska Governor’s Executive Order No. 20-03, Corona Virus - Public Meetings Requirement Limited Waiver, this Planning Commission meeting will partially occur via Zoom video conference in addition to the physical meeting.  Some Planning Commission members will be attending remotely via the Zoom link.

Public hearings will concern recommendations to the County Commissioners on the following matters:

 1. Adoption of stormwater-related amendments to the Douglas County Comprehensive Plan.

 2. Adoption of text changes to all portions of the County’s Zoning Regulations.

 3.  Adoption of the revised Stormwater Management Regulation.

This is a public meeting and all are welcome to attend in person at the Douglas Conference Room in the Fitzgerald Building. If you are ill or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend - make arrangements (see below) to attend via zoom. Members of the public and/or media should wear a face mask and be prepared to socially distance. Your compliance during these difficult times is deeply appreciated.

The Zoom link will be limited to Planning Commission members, County staff, and those who contact Douglas County Environmental Services (DCES) in advance of the meeting seeking an accommodation. 

The meeting agenda and documents to be considered by the Commission are available on the Environmental Services website (dceservices.org).

NOTICE OF HEARING REGARDING

HOSPITAL AUTHORITY NO. 1 OF

DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEBRASKA

Notice is hereby given that the Douglas County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in the Legislative Chamber of the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska, and will consider the petitions filed with the Douglas County Clerk on the 14st day of May, 2020, for reappointment to the Board of Trustees of Hospital Authority No. 1 of Douglas County, Nebraska.  Said petitions request consideration of the re-appointment of Kathleen A. Rossitto, 10001 N. 72nd St., Omaha, NE 68122 to Board of Trustees Hospital of Authority No. 1 of Douglas County, Nebraska, to serve until a successor is appointed and has qualified.

  Notice is further given that at said hearing, any objections to the proposed trustees for re-appointment to the Board of Trustees of Hospital Authority No. 1 of Douglas County, Nebraska, will be heard by the Board of Commissioners.  Written objections from electors residing within the boundaries of Hospital Authority No. 1 may be filed with the Douglas County Clerk through May 29, 2020.
