Call to Order - Roll Call – Open Meetings Act
Mayor Clint Adams called the regular monthly meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026. In attendance were City Council Members Kaye Bridgeford, Rob Hamilton, Adam Lee, and Shane Pekny. City Clerk Mindi Laaker identified the Open Meetings Act location that is available to the public.

Motion by Pekny, second by Bridgeford to approve the Consent Agenda. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Consideration of a Final Plat in a Medium Density (R-3) and Clustered/Mixed Use (CMD) Residential Zoning District for a 7.3 acre development known as Prairie Ridge located at Lot 1 Bennington Park Plaza
City Engineer Julie Ogden, Caleb Beasley with E & A Consulting and Developer Ryan Schwarz presented the Final Plat.
Adams opened a public hearing and there were no comments.
Motion by Lee, second by Bridgeford to approve the final plat subject to the requirements in the City Engineer’s comment letter. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Consideration of a Conditional Use Permit allowing for a Theater Training Studio in a Highway Commercial Zoning District (C-1) located on Lot 2 Building #1, McGregor Brae,
12720 N. 158th St.
City Administrator Kevin Hand and Applicant Blake Thompson presented the Conditional Use Permit Application.
Adams opened a public hearing and there were no comments.
Motion by Bridgeford, second by Pekny to approve the conditional use permit. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
GIS Mapping of City Sanitary and Storm Sewer
Brock Beran with Trekk Design Group LLC presented a 5-year plan totaling $305,000 including 3-D Models, Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapping, a Comprehensive Map, assessments of the City’s Sanitary and Storm Sewer Systems and Manholes, a correlation with the City of Omaha’s System and rehabilitation recommendations.
Public Works Building
A. Pay Application #9 to Darland totaling $44,443.29 and Substantial Completion
B. Change Order #9 in the amount of $0.00 for an Extended Warranty on Exterior Pavement
Motion by Pekny, second by Bridgeford to approve Items A-B above subject to a pending signature Change Order #9. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Papio Creek Trail Grant Update
City Administrator Kevin Hand presented the trail plan starting at Johns-Bohn Park, following the Papio Creek to Kempten Creek Drive and ending at the bridge on 156th Street. Additional options to the trail plans were also discussed.
Public Works Report
Motion by Lee, second by Pekny to approve shared expenses with the Bennington Soccer Club for temporary fencing at Neumeyer Farm Soccer Field totaling $3,252.17.
All voted in favor and the motion carried.

Derek Schwartz introduced himself as a candidate running for Legislature District 18.
