There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on Friday, August 21, 2020, at 2 pm. The meeting will be held at the project site in the parking lot at the Hanscom Park Pavilion along Hanscom Park Drive. Meeting will be held rain or shine.
General Contractor shall self-perform with its own workforce a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the total cost of the Contract. Purchasing of materials does not qualify as self-performing the Work.
As evidence of good faith and guarantee that contract will be entered into should award be made thereon, a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany bid. The bid bond or certified check shall be made payable to the “City of Omaha”. Failure to do so will be cause for rejection. Douglas County will accept sealed bids on a combined Construction contract, including General Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical work, from qualified Contractors for Douglas County, Nebraska on or before the bid opening date, as per the project specifications.

Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis and shall be in accord with the Instruction to Bidders.
Materials to be incorporated into the complete project shall be purchased tax exempt in the name of the Owner, and the Bidder shall exclude from his Bid all Sate of Nebraska and Local Options Sales and Use Tax for such materials in accordance with the General and Supplementary Conditions of the Contract for Construction.
All contractors submitting bids for the work are representing that they have carefully examined the site and building and are familiar with all conditions that may affect the Work under the Contract. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the Douglas County West Law Enforcement Center, 3601 North 156th Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting.
Questions and substitution requests must be submitted via email to bidquestions@douglascounty-ne.gov no later than Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Answers to questions will be posted via addendum no later than Friday, August 21, 2020.

A refundable deposit of $50.00 or a Builder’s Card will be required. Make deposit checks payable to the Owner. Documents must be returned complete and in “like new” condition to obtain a refund. Plans must be returned within 10 days after bid date. After 10 days, the deposit will be forfeited. One reminder phone call will be placed before deposit is forfeited.
Checks for Shipping and Handling should be made out to A&D Technical Supply. Plans may also be purchased on a CD at a non-refundable cost of $25.00. The CD will contain the entire set of drawings and specifications in PDF format.
