Notice is hereby given that the OMAHA CITY CLERK will receive sealed bids until WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, 2021 AT 11:00 A.M. FOR DOUGLAS CO. PROJECT NO. C-28(580) STATE STREET IMPROVEMENTS, 177TH STREET TO 171ST STREET (GRADING, ASPHALT PAVING, AND STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION).
Bids are to be submitted on the proposal forms and in accordance with plans and specifications available at www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $15.00 by inputting QuestCDN Project #7640948 on the website’s Project search page. Please contact QuestCDN.com at (952) 233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with this digital project information. Alternatively, paper copies of the plans and specifications are available at the office of the Douglas County Engineer, 15505 West Maple Road, Omaha, Nebraska. The cost of the paper plans and specifications is $ 50.00 plus $3.50 tax, and is non-refundable. Checks for the paper plans and specifications should be made payable to the Douglas County Engineer.
As evidence of good faith in submitting a proposal for this work, the bidder must file with his proposal, cash, certified check or bid bond, made payable to Douglas County in the sum of 5% of his bid, all of which shall be placed in a sealed envelope so marked as to indicate its contents without being opened. This envelope is to be placed in another envelope, which shall be sealed and addressed to the County Clerk.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Surety Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract.
The Board of Douglas County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bids will publicly be opened and read aloud in the City/County Legislative Chambers of the Omaha Douglas Civic Center on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

There will be a non-mandatory, pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 10 A.M. The meeting will be held at the Dewey Park Tennis Courts, 550 Turner Boulevard, Omaha, NE. Meeting will be held rain or shine.
General Contractor shall self-perform with its own workforce a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the total cost of the Contract. Purchasing of materials does not qualify as self-performing the Work.
This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 and 2 categories for 0% of the total bid amount. For additional information see Specification Section 00200, ‘Instructions to Bidders”, Part 2.16, “Utilization of Small and Emerging Small Business”.
