PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on April 20, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing the 48th Street – Q to Harrison Streets Public Improvements, project identified as OPW 52875; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisition, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the Signal Infrastructure Phase C1 Project, project identified as OPW 52957; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements; providing that as to each specified parcel which cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to PVS Technologies in the amount of $567,500.00 for the purchase of Ferric Chloride to be utilized at the Water Resource Recovery Facilities to be effective for a period of 12 months and is extendable for two one-year periods with approval of both parties; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.
An ordinance approving a People Plan Delivery Agreement between the City of Omaha, the Omaha Housing Authority, and Seventy Five North Revitalization Corp. This People Plan Delivery Agreement governs the relationship with respect to the “People Plan” component of the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation (“CNI”) Grant.
An ordinance approving a Master Development Agreement between the City of Omaha, the Omaha Housing Authority, and Brinshore Development LLC. This Master Development Agreement governs the relationship with respect to the “housing plan” component of the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation (“CNI”) Grant Transformation Plan.
An ordinance to accept the bid from Solid Surface Care, Inc. to provide carpet, rug & upholstery cleaning services at various Omaha Public Library facilities, in accordance with the best bid meeting specifications, for an estimated annual cost of $55,767.00 (2021 $37,178.00; 2022 $55,767.00; 2023 $55,767.00; 2024 $18,589.00 for a total contract amount of $167,301.00), for a period of three (3) years beginning May 1, 2021, with an option to extend the contract for two (2) additional one (1)-year periods.
An ordinance as recommended by the Mayor of the City of Omaha and the Omaha Public Library Board of Trustees, to approve the elimination of daily overdue fines for library materials; to approve the forgiveness and waiver of all outstanding debt accrued on patron accounts for the overdue fines repealed by this ordinance.
An ordinance to amend the agreement dated May 15, 2019 and Ordinance No. 41832 passed May 14, 2019 between the City of Omaha and HTI Labs in the amount of $53,805.00 for an amended agreement amount of $116,693.00, the amendment authorizes funding for applied analysis to inform Omaha Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Working Group decision-making and indirect costs; to authorize payment from such funding and involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and HTI Labs in the amount of $247,372.00; and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha’s FY 2020 National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Grant, Award #2020-AK-BX-0029, awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance; to provide funding for applied data analysis to inform working group decision-making, a Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) annual report, and design, development, maintenance, and hosting of an Omaha SAKI website; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.
An ordinance pursuant to Home Rule Charter Section 5.17 involving the payment of moneys from appropriations of more than one fiscal year, to amend the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Omaha and Douglas County, Nebraska, controlling the distribution of keno lottery proceeds, as previously amended and extended by Ordinance No. 38998 and 40709; to extend the Agreement for five (5) years.
An ordinance pursuant to Home Rule Charter Section 5.17 involving the payment of moneys from appropriations of more than one fiscal year, to amend the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Omaha and the City of Bennington, controlling the distribution of keno lottery proceeds; to extend the Agreement for five (5) years.
An ordinance pursuant to Home Rule Charter Section 5.17 involving the payment of moneys from appropriations of more than one fiscal year, to amend the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Village of Sterling, controlling the distribution of keno lottery proceeds; to extend the Agreement for five (5) years.
An ordinance pursuant to Home Rule Charter Section 5.17 involving the payment of moneys from appropriations of more than one fiscal year, to amend the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Village of Eagle, controlling the distribution of keno lottery proceeds; to extend the Agreement for five (5) years.
