Project Description: District 66’s Loveland Elementary School is conducting a partial modernization, and construction of a new 56,493 GSF academic facility on the existing site at 82nd and Pacific Street. The existing school building will be demolished, with the exception of the original 1932 schoolhouse, which will be preserved and rehabilitated as part of the project.
Included in the scope of the project, several neighboring residential properties—1116 & 1120 Ridgewood Ave., 1117 & 1125 Loveland Dr., and 8210 Poppleton Ave.—will be demolished, and the sites will be incorporated into the expanded school campus.
Notice to Bidders: MCL Construction is requesting bids for the following Scopes of Work:
1. Demolition
2. Site Grading
3. Pre-Cast Architectural Concrete

Bid Milestones:
- Pre Bid Meeting & Site Walkthrough: 1/5/2026 at 10:00 AM
- Questions Due: 1/7/2026 by 2:00 PM (submit to Zahra Jabbarani via email: zahra.jabbarani@mclconstruction.com)
- Bid & Bid Forms Due: 1/13/2026 by 2:00 PM
Documents will be available beginning December 24th, 2025, and sealed bids will be received at MCL’s Office 14558 Portal Circle, LaVista, NE 68138 or via email to Zahra Jabbarani on or before January 13th, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. CST. Please copy Kris Bridges, kris.bridges@mclconstruction.com, Matt Herzog, Matt@project-advocates.com, and Matt Wegener, mwegener@bvh.com on all bids being submitted via email. Bids will be opened in the presence of a representative of Project Advocates and BVH Architecture (Designer of Record). A bid summary will be available for review following the bid opening.
A pre-bid conference and site walkthrough will be held on Monday, January 5th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Existing Loveland Elementary School located at 8201 Pacific St., Omaha, NE 68114. If you are interested in participating in the meeting, please contact Zahra Jabbarani and she will provide you with an invite. This meeting is not mandatory, but all contractors must certify they have visited the site ahead of bid submissions.
All bidders will be required to provide a dual obligee supply or payment & performance bond listing MCL and Westside Community School District as obligees. No bidder shall withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsible bidder which shall mean financial responsibility, the general ability and capacity of the bidder to perform the work, the bidder’s facilities and suitability for the task, and those qualities which the bidder must necessarily have in order to perform the contract strictly in accordance with its terms. Time is of the essence for this project and bids will not be considered if the contractor cannot meet the construction schedule as provided.
MCL reserves the right to reject any, and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and to award the contract in the best interest of the owner.
