PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold a public hearing on April 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of this hearing is to consider approval of:

 

Class “C” Liquor License for Clio Legacy, LLC, dba “Clio”, located at 2835 South 170th Plaza, Suite 200.

 

Class “C” Liquor License for Global Spirits, LLC, dba “Cassidy’s Wine & Spirits”, located at 6610 South 168th Street, Suites 3 & 4.

 

Class “I” Liquor License for Anthem Omaha, LLC, dba “Anthem”, located at 1205 Howard Street.

 

Long Form application for a Class “D” Liquor License held by T & A Groceries, Inc., dba “T & A Groceries”, located at 3247 North 42nd Street.  

 

Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on April 7, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance levying a special tax and assessment on certain lots, part of lots and pieces of real estate in the City of Omaha to cover the cost of constructing sidewalks in District No. SWR 2025-01.

 

An ordinance to approve a Streetscape Maintenance Agreement between the City of Omaha and Jasper Stone 192nd & Dodge, LLC, concerning the allowable streetscape and street light improvements in the right-of-way and the private maintenance and liability obligations thereof for the Avenue One Replat 6 site northeast of 192nd and Burke Streets; to authorize the execution of said Agreement.

 

An ordinance to approve a 5-year Master Software and Services Agreement with Versaterm Public Safety US, Inc., authorizing the purchase of software licenses and support services for IAPro NextGen and Blue Team NextGen software for the Omaha Police Department, for a period of 60 months for a total cost of $31,666.31; with payment to be made from the Omaha Police Department General Fund 11111, Organization 113213 Information Technology/Mobile IT Unit, Account 42266 Information Technology Contracted in the amount of $31,666.31.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on March 24, 2026 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 44633

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 5510 North 83rd Street from R2-Single-Family Residential District (Low-Density) to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).                                                                                                                 

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1-3, Block 13, Saddle Creek Addition, except the irregular southeasterly 56.4 square feet of Lot 2 and the irregular southeasterly 1,500 square feet of Lot 3, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from R2-Single-Family Residential District (Low-Density) to R4-Single-Family Residential District (High-Density).

ORDINANCE NO. 44634

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located southeast of 14th and Ohio Streets from HI-Heavy Industrial District to R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.                                                                                                                  

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: West 25 feet of Sub lot 1 of Tax Lot 9, located in the NW¼ of the SE¼ of Section 10, Township 15 North, Range 13 East of the 6th P.M., with the east line of said west 25 feet of sub lot being the extension of the east right of way line of 14th Street, in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from HI-Heavy Industrial District to R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

ORDINANCE NO. 44635

AN ORDINANCE to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located at 5122 North 90th Street; and to provide for an effective date.                                                                                                                  

Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-681 through 55-688 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: North 120 feet of the West 210 feet of the East 227 feet of Lot 14, Keystone View Addition, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska is hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-609 through 55-617 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: Lots 1 & 2, Benson Replat 26, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the ACI-1-Area of Civic Importance Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-609 through 55-617 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: Lots 1 & 2, Conagra Campus One, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the ACI-1-Area of Civic Importance Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

ORDINANCE NO. 44639

AN ORDINANCE to accept the bid of Miller & Sons Golf Cars in the total amount of $607,680.00 for the lease of one hundred forty-four (144) gas-powered golf cars for the Golf Division of the Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department; for four (4) years with the lease commencing in April 2026, through April 2029, to authorize annual payments as specified therein in the amount of $151,920.00 per year, for a total amount of $607,680.00.

AN ORDINANCE approving an Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Metropolitan Utilities District of Omaha for the collection of sewer use fees, involving the receipt of money to appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for the Metropolitan Utilities District to collect, administer, and remit to the City fees from its ratepayers for the sewer service provided by the City; to authorize the Mayor to execute the Agreement with the Metropolitan Utilities District; and to provide an effective date hereof.
