APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
Hearing to determine what disciplinary action is merited for violation of Omaha Municipal Codes 44-60, 44-64 and 44-121.

The Electrical Board reserves the right to amend the above agenda. A copy of the official agenda, kept continually current, shall be available for public inspection at the office of the Omaha Planning Department, 1819 Farnam Street, Suite 1110, Omaha, Nebraska, during normal business hours.

SOUTH OMAHA GLOBAL MARKET
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on July 1, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
South Omaha Global Market Redevelopment Project Plan.

The redevelopment project plan proposes the comprehensive rehabilitation of the currently vacant building, to be redeveloped as a business incubator for food processing businesses, with 16 indoor food vendor spaces available to lease and an indoor event space for weekend markets and similar events.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the May 7, 2025 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) in an amount up to $827,591.00, which includes capitalized interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, building rehabilitation construction hard costs, site work, architectural and engineering costs, and public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $9,395,914.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.
