NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Douglas County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on April 15, 2025, as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, with respect to the proposed financing or refinancing of the hereinafter-described facilities and equipment pursuant to a plan of financing under which the Hospital Authority No. 2 of Douglas County, Nebraska (“Hospital Authority No. 2”) and the Hospital Authority No. 3 of Douglas County, Nebraska (“Hospital Authority No. 3”) will issue one or more series of revenue bonds or financing lease obligations (collectively, the “Obligations”) to finance, refinance or reimburse a portion of the capital expenditures and costs associated with the acquisition, construction, equipping and furnishing of, and renovations, additions and improvements to, the hospital, health care and related facilities and equipment (the “Project”) owned and operated by the one or more of Borrowers listed below, including such facilities and equipment located at one or more of the locations described herein, for the benefit of Nebraska Methodist Health System, Inc., The Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Physicians Clinic, Inc., Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing and Allied Health, each a Nebraska nonprofit corporation (collectively, the “Borrowers”).

The Hospital Authority No. 2 will issue Obligations in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $105,000,000 for a portion of the Project, including such facilities and equipment located at one or more of the following locations:

THE OBLIGATIONS WILL NOT CONSTITUTE AN INDEBTEDNESS OF THE STATE OF NEBRASKA NOR DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEBRASKA NOR A GENERAL OBLIGATION OF HOSPITAL AUTHORITY NO. 2 OR HOSPITAL AUTHORITY NO. 3.

The hearing will commence at 9:00 a.m., on April 15, 2025, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, and will be held in the Legislative Chamber, Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Interested persons wishing to express their views on Hospital Authority No. 2 and Hospital Authority No. 3 issuing the Obligations or on the nature of the facilities and equipment proposed to be financed or refinanced will be given an opportunity to do so at the public hearing or may, prior to the time of the hearing, submit written comments to Daniel A. Esch, Douglas County Clerk, Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, Room H08, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183.
