NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Conference Room, LC-1, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on January 7, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance to amend Omaha Municipal Code Secs. 48-111 through 48-119 to adopt the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code
An ordinance to amend Omaha Municipal Code Sec. 43-121 to adopt the 2018 International Residential Code
An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and Nebraska State Probation District 4J (Juvenile) in the amount of $5,834.00; and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha’s FY 2018 Project Safe Neighborhoods Grant Award #2018-GP-BX-0012, awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA); to work directly with the District of Nebraska, Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Task Force and law enforcement agencies to conduct proactive home visits with serious, violent juvenile offenders in the target area involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; providing for payment from a specific account
An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Office FY 2019 Highway Safety Programs, Grant Contract Award Number 402-20-40, in the amount of $116,593.00, during the project period extending from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020; to expand training and awareness to law enforcement officers, target high crash locations, increase knowledge of Provisional Operator Permit (POP) restrictions, and increase enforcement of safety related violations; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter
An ordinance to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, FY 2019 Community Development Block Grant, Award #B-19-MC-31- 0002, in the amount of $4,596,670.00, FY 2019 HOME Investment Partnership Grant, Award #M19-DC310203 in the amount of $2,127,463.00, and FY 2019 Emergency Solutions Grant, Award #E-19-MC-31-0002, in the amount of $404,838.00; to address the priority needs and goals identified in the Omaha - Council Bluffs Five-Year Consolidated Plan; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter
An ordinance declaring the necessity of appropriating, for the use of the City of Omaha, certain hereinafter described vacant and improved property at 1502 California, located within the Builder’s District at NoDo Redevelopment Plan Area, an area generally bounded by Cuming Street on the north, 14th Street on the east, Cass and Burt Streets generally on the south and 22nd Street on the west, for acquisition, relocation as appropriate, and subsequent use as a site for implementing the Builder’s District at NoDo Redevelopment Plan, pursuant to the Nebraska Community Development Law; provided that in the event the specified parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, proceedings in eminent domain be undertaken and completed
An ordinance providing for the designation of an enhanced employment area; the levy of a general business occupation tax as requested by the property owners of 215 and 303 South 181st and 18120 Harney Streets (Village Pointe); providing for the administration, imposition and collection of such occupation tax; specifying the use of such occupation tax revenue; and related matters
An ordinance approving a Development Agreement for Occupation Tax in an Enhanced Employment Area by and between the City of Omaha and Village Pointe Lodging LLC and Anant Partners LLC, and its successors or assigns, for a project site located at 215 South 181st Street, 303 South 181st Street, and 18120 Harney Street, authorizing the use of up to $3,600,000.00, plus accrued interest in occupation tax revenues generated by the development located in an enhanced employment area, as shown in Exhibit “A”, as properly authorized and designated by the Omaha City Council

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Public Library will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 5:30 P.M. at the Milton R. Abrahams Branch Library, 5111 North 90th Street.
