Urgent Care Offers Drive-in Clinic, Limited Virus Testing
Urgent Care Omaha launched a drive-up clinic for patients with respiratory symptoms, the first example of the delivery model in the Omaha metropolitan area.
The company is offering a limited number of COVID-19 tests in accordance with CDC guidelines. Patients needing evaluation for respiratory symptoms can schedule an appointment for the Crossroads Urgent Care clinic near 72nd and Dodge streets, where they will be seen from inside their vehicle.
“Our staff will come out to perform the examination, greatly diminishing the risk of spreading disease,” Urgent Care Omaha said on a social media post.
A drive-up clinic, also by appointment only, is operating in Lincoln. Another clinic was proposed in Omaha but failed to coordinate with city officials.
