Uber for Lawn Mowing, Snow Removal Adds Omaha Metro
As the cold and bad weather rolls in, snow removal will be front of mind for many people.
That’s where a new business, Lawn Love, hopes to help.
Lawn Love, which launched in Omaha in October, uses an app similar to Uber or Lyft to connect people with snow removal and lawn care service providers.
The app offers customers a quote for their property, then schedule and pay for services from their phone or computer. The idea is to make it easier for lawn care companies to connect to customers and help get the job done faster, according to a release from Lawn Love.
“Customers have been telling us for years about how difficult it can be to find reliable snow removal,” said founder & CEO Jeremy Yamaguchi. “If a service provider doesn’t show up, people are left stranded in their homes with no quick-fix options. We’re thrilled to partner with Omaha businesses to help provide a solution to this problem.”
The contractors on the app have been screened by Lawn Love for quality control. In addition to snow removal and lawn mowing, they offer additional services such as gutter clearing, weeding and aeration.
This platform aims to help the small lawn care businesses reach those needing lawn care. Services can be purchased as “once-off” transaction or can be scheduled for an entire season without the need to sign a contract.
“We’re excited to be bringing modern lawn care to homeowners,” Yamaguchi said.
