Ashland – The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Greater Omaha Chamber and Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry will bring William Evanina, the top counterintelligence official for the U.S. government, as the keynote speaker at the upcoming Federal Legislative Summit later this summer.

The 11th Annual Federal Legislative Summit will take place on Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Strategic Air & Space Museum in Ashland. The event will feature an update from Nebraska’s Congressional delegation on federal issues facing the state in Washington D.C.

Evanina is currently the director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center of the Director of National Intelligence. Mr. Evanina has led the organization since June 2014, serving as head of counterintelligence for the U.S. government and as the principal counterintelligence and security advisor to the Director of National Intelligence. He has over 23 years of distinguished federal service, 20 of which came as a special agent with the FBI.

Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts will deliver opening remarks at 9:35 a.m. with reports from Nebraska’s Congressional delegation to follow and Evanina’s keynote address at 11:45 a.m. Doors open for the event at 8:30 a.m. with the program running until 12:30 p.m.

Tickets are $99 for chamber members, $125 for non-members and includes lunch to be served at 11:30 a.m. A schedule and link to register for this year’s summit can be found at tinyurl.com/y3869fxx.
