NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
The Nebraska Public Service Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Commission Hearing Room, 300 The Atrium, 1200 N Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Remote access to the meeting will be available to the public at: http://psc.nebraska.gov/stream. Individuals may also attend the meeting by telephone: 408-418-9388 and then enter 2485 596 7539, when prompted for an access code.
The agendas will be available for public inspection at the Commission no later than 10:00 a.m. on the day before the meeting. The agendas will also be available on the Commission’s Calendar webpage at http://psc.nebraska.gov/calendar.
If auxiliary aids or reasonable accommodations are needed for attendance at a Commission meeting, please call the Commission at 402-471-3101. For people with hearing/speech impairments, please call 711, or the Nebraska Relay System at 800-833-7352 (TDD) or 800-833-0920 (Voice). NEBRASKA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
The following proposed Rule and Regulation may be inspected at the offices of the Nebraska Public Service Commission during regular office hours. Comments must be filed with the Commission in the manner and within the time prescribed in Section 14 of the Rules of Commission Procedure:
RULE AND REGULATION #215: In the Matter of the Nebraska Public Service Commission, on its own motion, seeking to amend Title 291, Chapter 3, Motor Carrier Rules and Regulations, to adopt rules in accordance with Nebraska Legislative Bill 1126 (2026).
Interested parties should submit written comments on the proposed amendments on or before Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Central Time. Parties filing comments should email a copy to brittany.seabrooks@nebraska.gov and psc.motorfilings@nebraska.gov.
A public hearing to receive testimony on the proposed Rules and Regulations has been scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Central Time. Information for remote access to the hearing will be made available ahead of the hearing.
The Commission believes there will be no fiscal impact as a result of these rules.
Copies of the proposed rules are available on the Commission website at https://psc.nebraska.gov/administration/proposed-rules-regulations. Anyone wishing to receive written notices regarding this docket shall provide contact information to the Commission and ask to be added to the service list.
