NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY
Lincoln, Nebraska
Pursuant to NDEE Title 118 - Ground Water Quality Standards and Use Classification, public notification and opportunity for comment is hereby given of the following:
1. On or about July 21, 2022, a petroleum release was identified originating from a storage tank system located at 901 N 24th Street, Omaha. An approximate legal location is NW1/4, NW1/4, SW1/4, Section 15, Township 15N, Range 13E, Douglas County.
2. Follow-up investigation identified the effects of the release and led to the remedial actions proposed by NDEE. The investigation resulted in a determination that this ground water contamination event is defined as remedial action class three.
3. The source of the release has been removed. A Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) Tier 1 assessment was conducted. The assessment indicated the presence of dissolved petroleum compounds in ground water. The contaminant concentrations found were below the numerical levels used by the RBCA process to establish a need for further investigation or remediation. Based on the current site conditions and property use, the NDEE has determined that no further remedial action is necessary due to the lack of threat to human health or safety.

Any person may receive further information or submit comments on the proposed action, and request or petition NDEE for a hearing, in writing, stating the nature of the issues to be raised in the hearing, on or before August 28, 2023. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL RESOURCES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 31st, 2023 at 10:00 AM 8214 Armstrong Cir Bellevue, Ne 68147 Villas at Alta Collina will hold a public hearing or meeting as applicable concerning an application to the Department of Economic Development for a Nebraska Affordable Housing Program Grant. This grant is available for local affordable housing activities to rebuild the affected areas impacted by DR4420 and provide crucial seed money to start the recovery process.
Villas at Alta Collina is requesting $2,000,000 in DED awarded CDGB-DR funds to construct 15 villas at S4 49th and Looking Glass Drive of which all funds requested shall benefit low- and moderate-income individuals at 60% AMI or below. The total project cost is projected around $7,541,328. Other sources include $3,518,090 LIHTC, $1,350,948 AHTC, $800,000 Perm Loan, Owner Contribution $400,000.
No persons will be displaced as part of this activity.
The grant application will available for public inspection at the office of Straightline Development at 16255 Woodland Dr. Omaha, Ne 68136. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application.
