Sarpy County Clerk Takes Over Passport Applications
Papillion – The Sarpy County Clerk’s Office is now the “one-stop” location for passport applications in the county government.
The Sarpy County District Court Clerk’s Office previously had also handled such requests.
“My office continuously strives to make our processes more efficient for those we serve,” County Clerk Deb Houghtaling said in a news release Monday.
Houghtaling’s office will accept and verify passport applications and take photos on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. Applications can be submitted on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sarpy County Courthouse and Administration Building, 1210 Golden Gate Drive in Papillion, with no appointment necessary.
The Bellevue Post Office, 2609 Victoria Ave., also handles passport requests and photos, but it does so only with an appointment.
