RALSTON HIGH SCHOOL –

WATER HEATER REPLACEMENT

RALSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS

1. PROJECT INFORMATION. Douglas County School District No. 28-0054, commonly known as Ralston Public Schools (the “District”), is requesting bids from qualified individuals or entities to complete a water heater replacement project at Ralston High School.  The project site will begin immediately upon the District’s award of the contract, including but not necessarily limited to ordering equipment, with on-site construction to commence on or about May 28, 2024.  Substantial completion of the project must be achieved by August 2, 2024.

2. PRE-BID CONFERENCE. All Bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid conference on March 18, 2024, at 9:00 am local time at Ralston High School, 8969 Park Dr., Ralston, NE 68127, to familiarize themselves with the site conditions, bidding requirements, General/Supplementary Conditions of Construction, and to ensure comprehension of the specifications.  Architect will provide responses to bidders’ questions posed at Pre-Bid Conference by Addendum.

3. BID SUBMISSION AND OPENING. Bids must be made on the bid form contained in the Bidding Documents.  Two (2) completed copies of the bid form, signed by the bidder, together with the specific information referenced below, shall be addressed and delivered to Ralston Public Schools, Attn: Superintendent Buckingham, 8545 Park Drive, Ralston, NE 68127.  Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope that shows Bidder’s name, address, and telephone number on the outside of the envelop.  The lower left corner of the sealed envelope shall be clearly marked “Ralston HS – Water Heater Replacement.”  Bids will be received until 12:00 pm local time on April 4, 2024, at which time they will be opened publicly and simultaneously in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives or as soon as possible thereafter.  E-mail, facsimile, electronic, or telephone bids are not allowed.  Any bid received after the deadline will not be opened or considered, and will be returned to bidder.

4. AWARDING OF BID. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder.  The winning bid shall be announced by the Board of Education at its meeting to be held on April 8, 2024, or at such other meeting determined by the Board.

5. BIDDING DOCUMENTS. On or after March 4, 2024, the Bidding Documents may be examined, accessed, and obtained as follows:

Bidding Documents will be available between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  All Bidders who require hard copies of Bidding Documents shall place an order directly with A & D Technical Supply and shall pay all costs associated with printing and, if applicable, all shipping costs.  Only full and complete sets will be printed; partial set orders are not allowed.  Hard copy Bidding Documents do not need to be returned as no refund will be issued.

6. INQUIRIES. All questions, inquiries, or requests for clarification or site inspection should be submitted by email to Superintendent Jason Buckingham at jason_buckingham@ralstonschools.org. The District and/or Architect will provide responses to bidders’ questions at Pre-Bid Conference by Addendum.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education, of the School District No. 54, in the county of Douglas, in the State of Nebraska, will hold a regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11th at the Virginia Moon Administrative Center, which meeting will be open to the public.  An agenda for the meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the Superintendent at 8545 Park Dr., Ralston, Nebraska.
