Ralston’s $83.75M School Bond Issue Passes
Voters in the Ralston Public Schools district approved an $83.75 million bond issue as results were tallied Tuesday night.
According to unofficial results from the Douglas County Election Commission, RPS voters approved the measure by a margin of 63.62% (2,074 votes) to 36.38% (1,186 votes). These results will remain unofficial until all ballots that can be counted are processed and the election is certified.
The bond issue – which was Ralston’s first since 2001 – will go toward renovations for all eight RPS schools, including new baseball and softball fields for games, security upgrades and Mockingbird Elementary will be demolished and rebuilt on the same property beside the old building.
