OPPD Adds Arboretum to List of Closed Parks in Metro Area
Omaha Public Power District is committed to helping slow the spread of coronavirus in our community. The City of Omaha has ordered all city parks closed to the public to promote social distancing and limit potential exposure.
Effective last Friday, OPPD’s 26-acre arboretum at 108th and Blondo streets and the Power Park ballfields near the utility’s North Omaha Station generation facility will also close to the public.
These properties are owned and operated by OPPD, but are closed to honor the city’s decision. Signs are now posted at the entrance to the arboretum and ballfields.
