Omaha Restaurant Week Runs Through Weekend Across City
Omaha Restaurant Week invites area residents to leave the kitchen cold and dine out for a good cause.
The annual event runs through Monday, Sept. 22. Every time you have dinner at a participating restaurant and order from the Omaha Restaurant Week menu, you support Food Bank for the Heartland.
“In the two years Visit Omaha has organized this event, Omaha Restaurant Week donations have provided more than 65,000 meals to families in our community,” said Keith Backsen, executive director for Visit Omaha. “Our goal is to help increase business for our local restaurants, and provide additional funding for the food bank – something we’re very proud to do for our community.”
This year, 46 metro area restaurants are participating in Omaha Restaurant Week. Diners can choose from a special multi-course dinner menu available at a fixed price of $20, $30, $40, and $50 a person. Each menu typically includes three options for each course: appetizer, entree, and dessert. No tickets, passes or coupons are required; food lovers can simply dine out as often as they like at participating restaurants during the ten-day event. Five percent of each multi-course meal purchased at restaurants participating in Omaha Restaurant Week will be donated to Food Bank for the Heartland.
