NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Douglas County School District 0001 (Omaha Public Schools) will hold a public hearing on March 9, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. (CT), at Ashland Park Robbins Elementary School, 5050 South 51st Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68117 regarding the proposed acquisition by the School District of certain real property and improvements to expand the existing high school site located in the vicinity of 60th and L Streets, Omaha, Nebraska.  At the public hearing, the proposed acquisition will be explained and public input regarding the proposed acquisition will be received.  The properties and property interests proposed to be acquired are legally described as:

1.  Fee simple title to Lots 1 and 2, Intransit 2nd Addition, an addition to the City of Omaha, as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska.

2.  Fee simple title to the South 286.32 feet of the East 12.50 feet of Lot 1, Intransit Addition (previously described as the East one-half of vacated S. 54th Avenue right-of-way), the East 12.50 feet of Lot 1, Intransit Addition Replat 1 (previously described as the East one-half of vacated S. 54th Avenue right-of-way), both being platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, together with a portion of a tract of land located in the Southeast one-quarter of the Northwest one-quarter of Section 6, Township 14 North, Range 13 East of the 6th P.M., Douglas County, Nebraska, as described in Instrument #2013082412, Douglas County Register of Deeds Office.  Being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the Northwest corner of said tract described in Instrument #2013082412, thence north 84°19’24” East (assumed bearing) for 42.76 feet along the North line of said tract; thence South 00°36’34” West for 553.27 feet along a line 55.00 feet East of and Parallel with the West lines of the East 12.50 feet of Lot 1 said Intransit Addition and Lot 1 said Intransit Addition Replat 1; thence South 86°48’35” West for 42.59 feet along the South line of said tract described in Instrument #203082412; thence South 87°48’15” West for 12.51 feet along the South line of Lot 1 said Intransit Addition Replat 1; thence North 00°36’34” East for 500.52 feet along the West lines of the East 12.50 feet of Lot 1 said Intransit Addition and Lot 1 said Intransit Addition Replat 1; thence North 84°24’08” East for 12.57 feet along the North line of said South 286.32 feet of the East 12.50 feet of Lot 1, Intransit Addition; thence North 00°36’34” East for 50.15 feet along the West line of said tract described in Instrument #20132412 to the point of beginning.  This tract contains 29,736 square feet, more or less.

3.  Acquisition of all access easement rights granted in the Reciprocal Permanent Access Easement Agreement, dated September 18, 2009 and recorded on September 23, 2009, as Instrument #2009103760 in the Register of Deeds of Douglas County, Nebraska.
