OBA Seeks Nominations for Public Service Awards
The Omaha Bar Association is seeking nominations for its two marquee public service awards typically presented in conjunction with its Law Day luncheon.
The luncheon is canceled, but the OBA is still seeking nominations for the Robert M. Spire Public Service Award and the OBA Public Service Award.
The Robert M. Spire Public Service Award is presented to an attorney or attorney organization, and the OBA Public Service Award is presented to a non-attorney individual or organization.
The criteria under consideration for the award includes:
• the public’s knowledge of the law or the legal system has been enhanced in some significant way by the recipient’s efforts;
• the recipient has focused on providing service to the community for purposes other than pecuniary profits; and
• the recipient has demonstrated long term commitment to the enhancement of the public’s knowledge of the law.
Nominations are due today, Thursday, March 26, at the close of business. Email the nominee’s name and a short description to dave@omahabarassociation.com.
