NSBA Annual Meeting Offers Over 65 Hours of CLE Programming

The Nebraska State Bar Association plans a full slate of continuing legal education programming during the upcoming 2020 Annual Meeting despite shifting to a virtual format.

The meeting will run Monday through Friday of next week, and it will feature mostly on-demand CLEs with some “live replays” – sessions that were prerecorded but that attendees can view during a live performance, allowing them to be more easily scheduled.

The 2020 conference will offer more than 65 hours of CLE, including several unique webinars, according to a news release:

• “Easiest Catch: Don’t be Another Fish Caught in the Dark Web” will feature general session speaker Mark Lanterman, a former member of the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Taskforce, discussing the ethics and compliance a half hour of ethics credit.

Additional scheduled webinars available during the Annual Meeting week include the following:

• NLAP Seminar: Encouraging Others to Get Help (2 CLE ethics hours)

• Navigating Tech: Finding the Right Solutions for Your Firm (1 CLE hour)

• Values First: A New Approach to Hiring and Firing Team Members (1 CLE ethics hour)  (Sponsored by the Law Practice Management Section)

• Pro Bono Summit (3 CLE hours, including 1 ethics hour)

• Diversity: Toward a Better Understanding (1 CLE ethics hour)

Access to on-demand CLEs will be provided the morning of Monday, Oct. 12. Emails for live replay sessions will be send an hour before each event starts.
