CITY OF OMAHA INVITATION TO BID ON: Chemicals (Golf, Parks, Turf, and Isaacson Field)

BID OPENING DATE: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019

   Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the opening time, as per specifications on file in the office of the Douglas County Purchasing Agent.  These documents may also be found at www.douglascountypurchasing.org.

   Sealed bids should be addressed to Elizabeth Butler, City Clerk, 1819 Farnam Street, LC 1 - Omaha Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, NE  68183 and marked BID ON: Chemicals (Golf, Parks, Turf, and Isaacson Field) and must be on file in her office on or before 11:00 a.m., on the bid opening date at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC 4, Omaha Douglas Civic Center.

   As evidence of good faith and guarantee that a contract will be entered into should an award be made thereon, a bid bond statement must accompany the bid in the amount of: $2,500.00.  Failure to do so will be cause for rejection.

   Douglas County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Notice is hereby given that the OMAHA CITY CLERK will receive sealed bids until WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2019 AT 11:00 A.M. FOR DOUGLAS CO. PROJECT NO. C-28(389) DUTCH HALL ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, WEST OF 264TH STREET, AND C-28(462) DUTCH HALL ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, EAST OF 264TH STREET.

Bids are to be submitted on the proposal forms and in accordance with plans and specifications available at www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $15.00 by inputting QuestCDN Project #6061886 on the website's Project search page.  Please contact QuestCDN.com at (952) 233-1632 or info@questcdn.com for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with this digital project information.  Alternatively, paper copies of the plans and specifications are available at the office of the Douglas County Engineer, 15505 West Maple Road, Omaha, Nebraska.  The cost of the paper plans and specifications is $ 40.00 plus $2.80 tax, and is non-refundable.  Checks for the paper plans and specifications should be made payable to the Douglas County Engineer.

As evidence of good faith in submitting a proposal for this work, the bidder must file with his proposal, cash, certified check or bid bond, made payable to Douglas County in the sum of 5% of his bid, all of which shall be placed in a sealed envelope so marked as to indicate its contents without being opened.  This envelope is to be placed in another envelope, which shall be sealed and addressed to the County Clerk.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Surety Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract.

The Board of Douglas County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bids will publicly be opened and read aloud in the City/County Legislative Chambers of the Omaha Douglas Civic Center on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
