New Website to Recruit Talent for Nebraska

Lincoln – A new website will seek to recruit talent for Nebraska businesses by inspiring visitors to choose the state as a place to live, work and raise a family.

The new website, available at, was unveiled at the Governor’s Summit on Economic Development by Gov. Pete Ricketts and leaders representing the state economic development and labor agencies.

“Our state has a strong economy with low unemployment, steady wage growth and tens of thousands of terrific job opportunities available in any given month,” Ricketts said. “To keep up that growth, it’s important that we attract, retain and develop a highly skilled workforce.”

The website was developed by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and the Nebraska Department of Labor. It includes job search resources and community information.

“This new website will help us succeed in promoting Nebraska on the national stage,” Department of Economic Development Director Dave Rippe said.

Input from community leaders and economic developers across the state was solicited for the new website. Among the features is the ability to refer a friend to the Department of Economic Development’s Talent Attraction Team, which will reach out with customized information about the state – including job openings.

Website users can also sign up to be a Nebraska Ambassador in advance of the program’s debut.

State agencies envision as the first stop for individuals and families looking to live and work in Nebraska. They intend for current residents to visit the site and use its features, too.
