NePA Supports Relay for Life
The Nebraska Paralegal Association raised more than $2,200 for the American Cancer Society at a recent Relay for Life event.
The NePA team Legal Beagles – which included Amber Roberts, Teri Gibbons, Andria Bell, Patricia Owens, Michelle Chapman and Teresa Semerena – was among the top fundraisers at the Sarpy County Relay for Life held June 8 at Papillion’s City Park.
“We had a great night celebrating survivors and remembering those lost to the fight,” Roberts said. “NePA has several survivors among our ranks, and we’ve lost more than one dear friend to cancer, which is why we are so passionate about this cause and have been doing Relay for Life for over 10 years now.”
Donations for Relay for Life go to support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to fund research, free rides to treatment, a helpline and other activities. The Sarpy County event raised over $33,300.
The Greater Omaha Relay for Life will be held July 13 at Aksarben Village’s Stinson Park. For more information or to make a donation, visit bit.ly/2x71S0Q.
