An assistant attorney general from Nebraska was recently honored by the National Association of Attorneys General when the organization announced its annual award winners.

Stephanie Caldwell, who works in the Civil Litigation Bureau, received the Outstanding Faculty Award for her volunteer work with NAAG’s training and research division, the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute.

“I am beyond honored to receive this award,” Caldwell said in a statement to The Daily Record. “My position with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office and the national organization has given me many amazing teaching and traveling opportunities. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with attorneys across the nation in furthering our skill levels and becoming the best representatives for our state and officials whom we have the honor to represent.”

NAGTRI offers specialized training courses to attorneys general staff from across the country and its Outstanding Faculty Award is presented to members who have significantly contributed to developing and presenting quality programs to their counterparts in attorneys general offices nationwide.

Caldwell joined the Nebraska’s Attorney General’s Office in 2004. For the past four years, she has presented on a variety of topics through NAGTRI, including trial advocacy, deposition skills, negotiations, defensive state litigation and paralegal training. Caldwell graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a degree in political science and received her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
