National Night Out Parties Can Request Police Officer, Firefighter Visit
National Night Out is coming up Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The 36th annual community-building campaign promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
National Night Out is held across the country on the first Tuesday in August. Neighborhoods hold block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events, according to an Omaha Police Department news release.
Neighborhood and/or organizations interested in hosting a National Night Out event can request a police officer or firefighter to attend. Register the party by Friday, July 26, to participate.
