PUBLIC NOTICE
The Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) seeks public comment on its Coordinated Transit Plan.
The public comment period runs Aug. 26 through Sept. 26, 2022.
The Coordinated Transit Plan is a guiding document for human service and transit providers in the Omaha-Council Bluffs region.
The Coordinated Transit Plan assesses:
• service needs
• current services
• potential funding options
It is used to develop goals that communities want to achieve during the next five years and strategies for meeting those goals.
The public is invited to attend an open house regarding the Coordinated Transit Plan on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at MAPA offices. A short presentation will start at 5 p.m.

The regular monthly meetings of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) Finance Committee and Transportation Technical Advisory Committee (TTAC) are scheduled for September 14, 2022 and September 16, 2022 respectively. The Finance Committee meeting is set for 8:30 a.m. September 14, 2022. TTAC will be held September 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Both meetings will take place at MAPA offices, 2222 Cuming Street, Omaha. The Finance Committee meets in the MAPA Board Room while the Transportation Technical Advisory Committee will meet in the MAPA Training Room.
Copies of the agendas for each meeting will be available September 9, 2022. Electronic copies of the agendas will be available at http://mapacog.org. Printed copies of the agendas will be available at MAPA offices.
Meetings of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency are conducted in compliance with the Nebraska and Iowa Statutes of the Open Meetings Act. Auxiliary aids, language assistance and services are available when requested at least three business days in advance.
