PUBLIC NOTICE

Iowa Regional Planning Affiliation (RPA)-18 seeks public comments on its 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan. The public comment period runs Aug. 13, 2025, to Sept. 7, 2025.

Regional Planning Affiliation-18 includes Harrison, Shelby and Mills Counties and the non-urbanized portion of Pottawattamie County.

The 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan is updated every five years and plays a significant role in outlining the existing status and future needs of the transportation system in RPA-18. It helps set the direction of planning efforts and transportation investments.

The regular meeting of the RPA-18 Policy Board and Technical Committee scheduled for 11 a.m. August 13, 2025, at the Pottawattamie County Secondary Roads Dept., 17501 Eastern Hills Dr, Council Bluffs, Iowa, will serve as the public meeting for the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan.

The Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) administers all planning functions for Regional Planning Affiliation-18.
