PUBLIC NOTICE

The Metropolitan Area Planning Agency seeks public comment on an amendment to its FY2026 Transportation Improvement Program, which adjusts funding for the purchase of paratransit vehicles and contracted paratransit services and updates their project descriptions

The public comment period runs February 19, 2026, to February 26, 2026.  

The projects include: 

Funding Increase: 

• Nebraska 5310 Vehicle Purchases:  $1,142,180 in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 funding programmed for vehicle procurement in FY2026

Phase Adjustments: 

• Nebraska 5310 Service Contracts: $188,130 of FTA 5310 funding for 3rd Party Contracted Services programmed in FY2027.

• Iowa 5310 Service Contracts: $80,000 of FTA 5310 funding for 3rd Party Contracted Services programmed in FY2026.

The MAPA Board of Directors Meeting scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Feb. 26, 2026, at 2222 Cuming St. Omaha, will serve as the public meeting for the amendment.
