The quarterly meeting of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) Council of Officials is scheduled for 11:30 am, December 11, 2024 and will be held at the Beardmore Event Center of Bellevue, 3750 Raynor Pkwy, Bellevue, NE 68123.

Copies of the agendas for the Council of Officials meeting will be available Friday, December 6, 2024. Electronic copies of the agenda will be available at http://mapacog.org. Printed copies of the agenda will be available at MAPA offices.

The monthly meeting of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) Board of Directors is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. December 12, 2024 at the MAPA offices, 2222 Cuming St., Omaha, Nebraska. MAPA’s December Board of Directors meeting will be streamed live on the agency’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@MAPA2222. This platform is intended for viewing purposes only and is not monitored.

Anyone wishing to speak during the public comment section of the meeting must attend the meeting in-person at MAPA offices or submit written comments to mapa@mapacog.org by 4:30 p.m. December 11, 2024, to be read into the public record.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) is issuing a Request for Qualifications to develop the Iowa Regional Planning Affiliations (RPA) 13 and 18 Community Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.

The Comprehensive Safety Action Plan will focus on seven rural communities located within the RPA boundaries: Atlantic, Clarinda, Glenwood, Harlan, Missouri Valley, Red Oak, and Shenandoah, Iowa. It will prioritize strategies that maximize opportunities for discretionary funding to implement local roadway projects in rural and disadvantaged communities.

Consulting firms are invited to submit a statement of qualifications.

The RPA-13 and 18 Community Safety Action Plan Request for Qualifications (RFQ) can be found at mapacog.org/about/rfp-rfq or by contacting MAPA via email at transportation@mapacog.org or by calling MAPA at 402-444-6866.

Proposals must be submitted to MAPA by 4:30 p.m. CST on January 7, 2025.
