Kruse Joins Nebraska Bankruptcy Bench in Lincoln

A new bankruptcy judge was recently appointed for the District of Nebraska based in Lincoln.
U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Lavenski R. Smith announced that Brian Steven Kruse of Lincoln has joined the bankruptcy court’s bench.
Kruse practiced law for 20 years at Rembolt Ludtke LLP in Lincoln, where he was managing partner from 2013 to 2019. Kruse was the head of the litigation department for the past four years.
His practice included complex civil litigation, creditor’s rights and bankruptcy law. He was appointed to the Nebraska panel of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees in 2018, according to an Eighth Circuit news release.
Kruse has been a member of the House of Delegates of the Nebraska State Bar Association since 2008 and is also a Nebraska State Bar Foundation fellow. He previously served on boards for the March of Dimes and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
A 2000 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law, Kruse was the editor-in-chief of the Nebraska Law Review and was honored as Order of the Coif.
