JRC Schedules Meeting About Kelly Vacancy
The Judicial Resources Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. to consider whether a vacancy exists due to Judge Christopher E. Kelly’s resignation last month.
Kelly stepped down from the bench of the Separate Juvenile Court of Douglas County on May 1.
The commission will meet via telephone conference. However, members of the public may not participate in the hearing by telephone but must give oral testimony in person in Room 1510 of the State Capitol subject to social distancing requirements, including possible staggered admissions and restricted seating.
Written testimony may be submitted through today, Thursday, June 18.
