First Tenants Announced for City Centre Project
La Vista – City+Ventures announced the first round of restaurant and office tenants slated to join the mixed-use La Vista City Centre development last Friday.
At full build-out, the community along 84th Street just north of Giles Road will serve as home to a variety of restaurants and bars, as well as additional office, retail and other businesses and indoor/outdoor music venue.
“The rapid construction progress at City Centre has started to turn some overdue business attention to the 84th Street corridor,” Chris Erickson of City+Ventures said in a release. “We believe City Centre will soon become a distinct destination that will draw folks from across the metro.”
Those business owners who are committing to the La Vista City Centre project are:
• Longtime Sarpy County resident Joey Jones, who will bring the Heights Draft Room, a craft bar with 30 rotating taps along with wine and cocktail options.
“Our mission is to expand the knowledge and appreciation for craft beer through exceptional selection, service, and community involvement,” Jones said.
• Local restaurateur Nick Bartholomew, who is opening multiple restaurants: OverEasy, a national breakfast, lunch and brunch concept; Bullitt County BBQ, a full-service barbeque restaurant; and Malted, an exclusive malt shop with house-made ice creams, shakes and adult beverages.
“We believe City+Ventures sees in us what we see in them: the vision and resources to build a neighborhood the residents of La Vista can enjoy into the future,” Bartholomew said.
• National restaurant and bar team AMPD Group, based in Pittsburgh, which will also bring multiple concepts to the project: Steel Cactus Restaurant & Cantina, a Tex-Mex style restaurant with a variety of famous specialty margaritas; The Standard Market & Pint House, a quick serve cafe and full-service restaurant featuring healthier flare; Social House, an Izakaya style Asian restaurant and lounge that will feature sushi and hibachi; and Foxtail Nightclub and Event Venue, a craft beer and cocktail bar with a uniquely designed interior.
“The possibility of being located across the street from an exciting music destination, along with our relationship with the City+Ventures team, is why we’re bringing some of our highly successful national restaurant ideas to City Centre,” said Adam DeSimone of AMPD Group.
The $200+ million City Centre project also includes apartments – studio, one and two bedroom – which will be available for move-in this August. A leasing office opens this week, with model apartments open for viewing.
