Early Voting Ballots Available as Two States Delay Primaries
Two states so far have delayed primary elections because of the outbreak of coronavirus.
Georgia’s March 24 primary will be held May 19, and Louisiana’s April 4 primary will be June 20.
Nebraska’s primary is scheduled for May 12. Officials have encouraged Nebraska voters to consider early voting ballots this year.
Mail-in ballots can be requested from a local county election commission or clerk through May 1.
“All Nebraska voters are able to request a mail-in ballot for Nebraska elections,” Secretary of State Robert Evnens said.
Sarpy County is mailing applications to every registered voter. Douglas County sent them to anyone who previously had requested an early voting ballot application.
An application and more details can be found at sos.nebraska.gov/elections/early-voting.
