FORMATION ELECTION

JULY 14, 2020

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 14th day of July, 2020 in the proposed Road Improvement District #1 (Hidden Hills subdivision), Douglas County, Nebraska, a special election will be held. The election will be by mail; therefore, no polling places will be open for voting. Said election will be held for the registered voters of Douglas County who reside within the proposed Road Improvement District #1 (Hidden Hills subdivision) who will approve or reject the following proposition and elect the initial Board of Trustees (if the District is approved):

“Shall a Special Road Improvement District be formed to improve roads in the Hidden Hills Subdivision?”

By-Mail Election

This election will be an election by mail. All registered voters currently residing within the proposed Road Improvement District #1 (Hidden Hills subdivision) will receive their ballot by mail, and therefore, no polling places will be open for voting. Ballots will be mailed by the Douglas County Election Commission between Monday, June 22 and Monday, July 6, 2020.

Voter Registration Deadlines

• The deadline to register to vote online, at an agency, with a deputy registrar, or by mail is Friday, June 26, 2020.

• The deadline for in-person registration is Monday, July 6, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

Ballot Return Deadline

• All voted ballots must be received by the Douglas County Election Commission no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

• Voted ballots must be mailed to the Douglas County Election Commission or deposited in the official ballot drop box located in the southwest end of the parking lot at 12220 W Center Road, Omaha, Nebraska 68144.
