The Douglas County Board of Health will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 1111 South 41st Street, Ste 205, Omaha, Nebraska. The proposed agenda, which shall be kept continuously current, shall be available at the office of the health Director during normal business hours.  This board reserves the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only while the meeting is in session.  The administrative committee, public health issues committee, and/or health equity committee may meet on the first Friday of the month.

A public hearing will be held by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the Legislative Chambers, Omaha-Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska regarding the vacation of Curtis Avenue west of Riverside Drive within King Lake Addition, Douglas County, Nebraska. Further information, including a plan showing the exact area to be vacated, is available for viewing at the office of the Douglas County Engineer, 15505 West Maple Road, Omaha, Nebraska.

Pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. §77-1315, this notice signifies that the real property assessment roll has been completed for 2024, notices of valuation change have been mailed, and that the final date for filing valuation protests with the Douglas County Board of Equalization is July 1, 2024.

Further, the levels of value in Douglas County, as approved by the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission for 2024 are:

Residential:  93%

Commercial:  94%

Agricultural Special Valuation:  69%
